The Cup Series races at Sonoma Raceway this week. This will be the second of the six road course races on the 2022 schedule. This is also the toughest of the road courses on the schedule. There are only five active drivers who have been to Victory Lane at this track, so do not be surprised to see the drivers who have a history of running well at the road course up front Sunday.
The Cup Series was back to their regular practice and qualifying schedule this week. The teams were given 20-minutes to dial in their cars for the race and then had group qualifying for the race. 20-minutes are not enough time to make long runs in practice so we probably will not be able to use much data from practice for the race.
