

NASCAR took away the practice sessions on the Superspeedway tracks last year, so the teams lined up for single-car qualifying and set the field for the GEICO 500. The lack of track time means the Driver Rankings did not change much from what was posted on Tuesday. I did do a little more research and moved a few drivers up or down a few spots, but the drivers I like earlier in the week are the same drivers I like now.
Don’t get too hung up on the rankings this week. All I did was took the stats from the Superspeedway races this year, the stats from last year’s races at Talladega in the Gen-7 car and the starting positions to create the rankings. This is how it all came out for the GEICO 500…
