Well, we all knew it was going to happen sooner or later. The Coronavirus had its first impact on the sport of NASCAR. Jimmie Johnson tested positive Friday and now he will miss the race at the Brickyard. Justin Allgaier will drive the No. 48 car for Hendrick Motorsports.
I mapped out my drivers for each race this season and I was one driver short of completing the season with “good drivers”. I did not want to use Brennan Poole, Joey Gase, Josh Bilicki, J.J. Yeley, Garrett Smithly, Timmy Hill or B.J. McLoed, but that was the position I was facing. Now that Justin Allgaier is in the car, I can make it throw the season without using the drivers listed above.
Here are my picks for the Big Machine Hand Sanitizer 400 …

My One and Done Pick for the Brickyard: Justin Allgaier
Justin Allgaier will likely have to start in the back for the driver change rule. He will still have a fast car and he is experienced enough to finish in the top 20. I will use Allgaier so I can be in a much better position in the One & Done game the rest of the season.
