The Xfinity Series will join the Cup Series and Truck Series at Darlington Raceway this weekend. All three series will have some throwback paint schemes, so the racing should be pretty cool to watch. The field will be stack for the Xfinity Series race. Kyle Larson, Ross Chastain, Ty Dillon, Corey Hiem and Carson Hocevar will join the Xfinity Series regulars in the field. There are many good choices for our DraftKings lineups this week. The Shriners Children’s 200 can be seen Saturday at 1:30 pm ET on FOX.
XFINITY SERIES PRACTICE / QUALIFYING
The Xfinity Series had a 20-minute practice Friday to shake down their cars for Saturday’s race. Some of the drivers were able to make some long runs, so we have some data to work with Saturday. The cars lined up for qualifying after practice and the teams are only allowed to make minor adjustments to the cars before the cars.

XFINITY SERIES STATS ON SIMILAR TRACKS
Darlington is a unique track that requires a unique driving style. The track is egg-shaped, so it is tough for crew chiefs to find the perfect balance for their racecars. The track eats up tires fast, so drivers must have the ability to save their tires over the long runs. The fastest way around Darlington is up against the wall, so drivers who can run against the wall without getting too many “Darlington Stripes” will also have the advantage. We need to focus on the driver’s history at Darlington, but we cannot ignore what happened this year in the Xfinity Series.

STRATEGY FOR DARLINGTON
The race Saturday is scheduled for 147 laps. That means there are 36.75 points available for leading laps and 66.15 points available for fastest laps (102.9 total dominator points). The trend in the Xfinity Series race at Darlington is for one driver to lead roughly 76 laps and score 30 fastest laps (32.5 dominator points). A second driver leads 45 laps and scores 30 fastest laps (24.75 dominator points). A third driver leads roughly 18 laps and score 14 fastest laps (10.8 dominator points). We will win every contest if we are able to have the three dominators in our lineups and score the roughly 68 dominator points. For that reason, I will be paying up for the drivers who I think can lead the most laps Saturday.
The drivers with the best chance to be the top dominators include Kyle Larson, John H. Nemechek, Cole Custer, Ryan Truex, and Justin Allgaier
The drivers who start in the back with the best chance to score place differential points includes Justin Allgaier, Ross Chastain, Josh Berry, Ty Dillon, Riley Herbst, Corey Hiem, Carson Hocevar, Parker Kligerman, Kaz Grala, Joe Graf Jr., Brennan Poole
