Yahoo Fantasy Auto Racing Picks for Kansas

Facebooktwitter

The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series competes at Kansas Speedway Saturday night. Allocations are becoming more important now that the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series has complete 10 races. This is not the races to worry about saving drivers. The cream rises to the top at the intermediate tracks, so using your top drivers is a wise strategy.

Here are my picks for the Go Bowling 400…

GROUP A

Martin Truex Jr. (9): This pick came down to Kevin Harvick and Truex Jr. I decided to go with Truex because he has been so dominant on the 1.5-mile tracks; he starts third and because of allocations. I have nine left with Truex and 7 with Harvick. I know there are other tracks I want to use Harvick at so I went with Truex this week.

GROUP B

Kyle Larson (7): Larson went out and made a run is Friday’s practice that was not too fast. Between the practice sessions he asked Jamie McMurray how his car was so fast. McMurray told Larson how to get through the wind in turns three and four. Larson immediate went to the top of the speed charts. Larson has not finished worst than 2nd on the 1.5 tracks dating back to last year. He should be good this week.

Jamie McMurray (5): I really wanted to use Clint Bowyer this week but his car did not pass pre-qualifying inspection. As a result Bowyer starts 31st. I did not one to use an allocation with both Kyle Larson and Chase Elliott in the same race, so McMurray gets the spot at his home track. McMurray was eighth-fastest in practice. He will be good tonight.

GROUP C

Ty Dillon (6): My choices this week were Erik Jones and Dillon. Jones starts 32nd and I do not want to burn an allocation with the top driver in Group C when he starts that deep in the field. So I will roll the dice with Dillon this week.

Good luck this week!
