Yahoo Fantasy Auto Racing Picks for New Hampshire

Facebooktwitter

The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series competes at New Hampshire Motor Speedway Sunday. I need a bounce back week after Brad Keselowski sank my team last week. I like my picks for the Magic Mile. I expect a score over 300 this week to get my picks closer to the top of the Yahoo Fantasy Auto Racing standings.

Here are my picks for the Overton’s 301…

GROUP A

Kyle Busch (7): The Toyotas have been fast this week and this will be one of the best chances for Busch to get to Victory Lane. He had the fastest car in final practice with the 4th fastest 10-lap speed. Few drivers could run the bottom of the track as well as Busch. He should easily finish in the top five this week.

GROUP B

Jamie McMurray (3): I hate using another allocation with McMurray but the No. 1 car is very fast this week. McMurray starts 4th and he has been good this year at keeping his car inside the top 10. He should be able to finish up front Sunday.

Ryan Blaney (4): I wish I had Kasey Kahne or Kurt Busch for this spot. Their cars look fast and it would have been a good opportunity to save an allocation with Blaney. I am using the no. 21 car out of necessity this week. Clint Bowyer and Ryan Newman struggled in qualifying and they start deep in the field. Blaney finished both races in the top 12 last year. He should be able to finish in the top 10 Sunday.

GROUP C

Daniel Suarez (5): Erik Jones is the better pick but I am down to 3 allocations with the No. 77 car. I am going to save him for some of the larger ovals. (If I had 5 or more allocations with Jones I would use him). Also Jones only has 1 start at this track and it was in the Xfinity Series. Suarez has 2 Xfinity Series races and 5 races in the K&L Pro Series at New Hampshire. Suarez should finish in the top 15 this week.
