Updated Driver Rankings for New Hampshire

The NASCAR Cup Series is set to race at another smaller, flat track. This time it will be at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. This will be the fifth race on a track similar to New Hampshire (Phoenix, Richmond, North Wilksboro, Gateway and Iowa are the others). We have plenty of data to use to build some good Fantasy NASCAR lineups and the NASCAR teams have the notes to unload with a lot of speed this weekend. Hopefully the Cup Series puts on a good show at the Magic Mile. The USA Today 301 can be seen Sunday at 2:30 p.m. on USA Network.

The Cup Series had a four-minute practice before it was washed out from rain. Most of the drivers did not even get up to speed and some teams did not even make it onto the track. We will not learn anything from the short practice this week.

Qualifying was also washed out. That means the starting lineup was set “per the rule book.” The race at Iowa last week is similar to the race at New Hampshire Sunday. The drivers who start up front were fast at Iowa. They should be fast at the Magic Mile too.
