Best Bets for Kansas

It has been tough to hit on the winners in the Cup Series over the summer. There were 10 different winners in the 10 races leading up to the Bristol Night Race. Denny Hamlin entered as the favorite, but most people knew Kyle Larson was an easy pick to win. Finally, our streak of having the second-place finisher came to an end and “Yung Money” put some cash into our pockets. The race this week at Kansas is typically easy to predict too, so hopefully we can start a streak of cashing tickets in the Cup Series. The Hollywood Casino 400 can be seen Sunday at 3 p.m. ET on USA Network.

BETTING STRATEGY FOR KANSAS

We are not going to win a lot of money win we bet a driver to win at 5-1 odds. That is what happened last week when we took Kyle Larson to win at Bristol. There is a good chance that one of the favorites is going to be in Victory Lane in the Hollywood Casino 400.

23XI Racing has won the last two playoff races at Kansas Speedway. Bubba Wallace went to Victory Lane in 2022 and Tyler Reddick won the race last year. The other races in the Gen-7 car were won by Kyle Larson and Denny Hamlin. There have been four races on the 1.5-mile intermediated tracks (not including Atlanta) this year. Kyle Larson won in Las Vegas and Kansas, Chase Elliott won in Texas and Christopher Bell won the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte. I do not see any long-shot on the list of winners at Kansas or at any of the 1.5-mile intermediate tracks this year (Bubba Wallace did win at 25-1 odds those in 2022). It is going to be tough to beat the drivers from Hendrick Motorsports this weekend. They have won three of the four races on the intermediate tracks this year, so I am putting all of my money on HMS Sunday.

BETTING CARD FOR KANSAS

KYLE LARSON (+350): I know betting Larson at +350 is not fun, but Larson was an easy pick to win last week at Bristol and he should be an easy pick to win Sunday at Kansas. Larson totally dominated the race at Las Vegas and then he did the same at Kansas in May. He likely would have won the Coca-Cola 600 too, but he was not in the race. Larson has finished four of the last six races at Kansas in the top-two. I rather bet on Larson, then bet against him this weekend.

CHASE ELLIOTT (+1100): Elliott won on the 1.5-mile track at Texas earlier this year. Can he do the same at Kansas? I think he can. Elliott has the best average finishing position on the intermediate tracks this year (5th place). Elliott has finished his last three races at Kansas in the top-seven. That includes a third-place finish in May. Elliott is a good bet at +1100.

ALEX BOWMAN (+3500): Bowman is the best bet in the field for the money. +3500 on the driver who has never finished outside the top-10 at Kansas in the Gen-7 car and the driver who scored the most points in the Round of 16 is simply crazy. Bowman finished 7th at Kansas in May and 9th in the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte. He is running a lot better now than he was in the spring. You do not need to bet a lot to win a lot with Bowman.

* If you are not a fan of Hendrick Motorsports and want to put your money behind some other drivers, you can pivot to DENNY HAMLIN (+400) or TYLER REDDICK (+700). If KYLE LARSON is not in Victory Lane, Hamlin or Reddick should be. I also like CHRIS BUESCHER (+1800) and a good value bet.

Good luck Sunday!
