Fantasy NASCAR Preview for Kansas

Facebooktwitter

The Cup Series playoffs move to the Heartland this week with a trip to Kansas Speedway. This race used to be in October but NASCAR flipped the races with Kansas and Las Vegas this year. The Cup Series competed at Kansas in May and the race was dominated by Kurt Busch. There is no guarantee that Busch will race this week, so the Hollywood Casino 400 is wide open for a new driver to be in Victory Lane. It should be another exciting race in the 2022 playoffs.  The race at Kansas can be seen Sunday at 3 p.m. ET on USA Network.

* Once again NBC will not televise the Cup Series practice and qualifying. It is scheduled to be on the NBC Sports App. (Can we bring back Fox Sports yet?)

DRIVER RANKINGS FOR KANSAS

The Cup Series scheduled used to be littered with races on the 1.50mile, cookie-cutter tracks. That is not the case anymore. The 2022 only had three races on 1.5-mile intermediate tracks this year because Atlanta Motor Speedway was turned into a Superspeedway.

I used the data from the first race at Kansas and the races at Las Vegas, Charlotte, Michigan and Darlington for the rankings this week. I also added in the data from the driver’s last four races (Not including Daytona). Momentum is important in NASCAR.

Here are my Driver Rankings for the Hollywood Casino 400…
