Fantasy NASCAR Stats for Daytona 500

Facebooktwitter

Is there any such thing as a safe driver in the Daytona 500. We all know there is going to be a big wreck in the race and more likely there will be multiple “big ones”. This race is impossible to predict but there are some drivers who are better at avoiding the wrecks than others. Usually is it because they race up front to stay ahead of the wrecks behind them. These drivers also score a lot of Stage Points and once these points are scored, they cannot be taken away. The drivers who score a lot of Stage Points are the best for your season-long fantasy games and the drivers who can avoid wrecks are the best for your DFS lineups. Here are some stats to get you ready for the Great American Race Sunday….

Daytona 500 Stats

* Average F.L. PTS is Average Fantasy Live Points. AVG DK Points is Average DraftKings Points

This chart shows the drivers who are good at finishing the races and scoring a lot of Stage Points. I will use this chart a lot to build my DFS lineups and for constructing my Fantasy Live and Driver Group Game lineups this week.

Daytona 500 Driver Rating

The Next-Gen car does not drive like the last generation of car. The word from the garage is that the tandem-draft may even be back in play this week. I plan to base my picks on a driver’s career success at Daytona and not what he did the last two-or three seasons.

Average DFS Points at Daytona

This chart shows the drivers who have been the best in DraftKings and FanDuel contests at Daytona over the last six years (12 races). The chart is sorted by DraftKings Points.

Average Stage Points at Daytona

Fantasy Live and the Driver Group Game award Stage Points to the drivers who finish in the top-10 in the Stages. The drivers who score a lot of Stage Points are the safest for your lineups because once they score the Stage Points, they cannot be taken away. So if the driver crashes out of the race, he still has the Stage Points to help him score well.

Xfinity Series DFS Points

This chart shows the drivers who have scored well in DFS contests for the Xfinity Series at Daytona. The chart is sorted by DraftKings Points. The drivers at the top of the list should be safe picks for the race Saturday (if they start outside the top-15).
