The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series will compete this week at Charlotte Motor Speedway. This is the first race of the Round of 12. It is also one of the most important races in the playoffs. Drivers do not want to go to Talladega next week needing to have a good finish. They will put a lot of emphasis on finishing up front Sunday so a poor performance at Dega will not kill their championship hopes.
The scoring format for Fox Fantasy Auto Racing rewards drivers who improve their position in the race a lot more than the drivers who lead the most laps. The race Sunday is 501 miles. There will be plenty of time for drivers to make their way to the front Sunday. Starting position will not be important so selecting fast cars who qualified poorly will be the key to scoring well this week.

Driver 1: Martin Truex Jr. $11,100 (Starts 17th)
Driver 2: Jimmie Johnson $10,300 (Starts 25th)
Driver 3: Brad Keselowski $9,800 (Starts 6th)
Driver 4: Joey Logano $9,400 (Starts 28th)
Driver 5: Erik Jones $9,500 (Starts 38th)
