NASCAR One & Done Pick for Charlotte

Facebooktwitter

The Cup Series will have a home race this weekend when they take the green flag in the Bank of America Roval 400. My goal when the Cup Series competes on the Superspeedways is to simply survive the race. We were able to hit the jackpot last week with Ricky Stenhouse Jr. as the One & Done pick. Hopefully we can get the same kind of luck this week on the Charlotte Roval. The Bank of America Roval 400 can be seen Sunday at 2 p.m. ET on NBC.

Here are the picks for the race on the Charlotte Roval….

ONE & DONE CONTESTS

This pick is for games where you can only use a driver once throughout the season.

MICHAEL MCDOWELL will be my pick in games where you can use a driver once throughout the season. McDowell has been good at two things this year. Qualifying on the Superspeedway tracks and racing at the road courses. The No. 34 car finished 2nd at Sonoma, 5th at the Chicago Street Course and 7th at Watkins Glen. McDowell was running in the top-five at COTA when his power-steering went out last year. The Charlotte Roval is the best track left on the schedule for McDowell, so I will take a chance with the No. 34 car Sunday.

ONE & DONE (REGULAR SEASON/PLAYOFF GAMES)

The regular season is complete for this One & Done format and hopefully your team was able to advance to the playoffs. The drivers reset and now we need to pick 10 drivers for the 10 playoff races. I matched the drivers with their best tracks and I will update it as things change after practice and qualifying each week. He is my pick for the One & Done games that reset once the playoffs begin…

TYLER REDDICK will be my pick in games that reset at the end of the regular season. Reddick has the best Driver Rating, the second-best Average Finishing Position (Behind Kyle Busch, but I already used Busch) and scored the most Stage Points in the Gen-7 car on the Charlotte Roval. Reddick finished 5th at COTA, 8th at Sonoma and 2nd in the Chicago Street Race this year. Reddick should be a lock for a top-five finish Sunday.

ONE & DONE (USE A DRIVER MORE THAN ONCE)

AJ ALLMENDINGER will be my pick in games where you can use a driver more than once during the 2024 season. It is going to be tough to fade Allmendinger Sunday. He won this race last year and he finished 4th in the Bank of America Roval 400 in 2022. That is an average finishing position of 2.5 in the Gen-7 car at the Charlotte Roval. Allmendinger has also led an average of 35 laps in the Gen-7 car at this track. Allmendinger should be one of the best picks for the race Sunday.

Good luck Sunday!
