NASCAR One & Done Picks for Coca-Cola 600

Facebooktwitter

It is Memorial weekend and that means it is time to buckle up in front of the TV for five hours of racing. The Coca-Cola 600 is a marathon and the tracks changes a lot over the length of the race. Crew chiefs need to bring their “A” game to the track. The Coca-Cola 600 can be seen Sunday at 6 p.m. ET on Fox.

Last Race: I decided to use Erik Jones in the Toyota 500 at Darlington. I thought I was going to strike gold with the No. 20 car. Jones was leading the race with only 60 laps to go and then he got his Darlington stripe and it took all of the speed out of his car. Jones still finished 5th. My average finishing position for my One & Done picks is 11.6. Not too bad but we need to string together more top-five finishes.

Here are my picks for the Coca-Cola 600…

My One & Done Pick for Charlotte: Martin Truex Jr.

There will be two races at Charlotte this week. I will play it safe on Sunday and use Martin Truex Jr. in the Coca-Cola 600. To say the No. 19 car has been has been the best driver at Charlotte is an understatement. Truex finished 1st, 2nd, 1st and 3rd in his last four races at Charlotte. The No. 19 car should be a lock for a top-five finish Sunday.

Good luck this week!
