The Cup Series will travel back to Talladega Superspeedway this week for the second race in the Round of 12. This is race No. 31 on the schedule and that means the allocations with our top drivers are fading fast. We can take a chance with some of the drivers who we have many allocations with for the race at Talladega. We are just going to need a lot of luck this weekend, because this race is not in the driver’s hands as much as it is on the smaller tracks. The YellaWood 500 can be seen Sunday at 2 p.m. ET on NBC.
NASCAR no longer has practice at the Superspeedway tracks. They eliminated practice to save money and prevent the teams from having to prepare a backup car for the race. The teams lined up for qualifying Saturday afternoon and they will race Sunday afternoon. All we have to work with this weekend is the speeds from qualifying and the stats from the Superspeedways this year.
