The PGA Tour heads to NASCAR Country this week to compete in the Wyndham Championship in Greensboro, North Carolina. This is the last tournament before the FedEx Playoffs start next week. The top-125 golfers in the FedEx Points Standings make the playoffs with a chance to win the $18 Million first place price to the winner.
* The article is going to be a bit condensed this week. I am traveling to Missouri to check out the Kansas City Chiefs training camp Tuesday and Wednesday. I will do my research and write the article when I get free time. The article will be back to normal next week when the playoffs begin.
The Wyndham Championship is the last chance for the golfers to stack playoffs points. The field is a bit stronger than what we have had the previous two tournaments. The field this week includes: Will Zalatoris, Billy Horschel, Shane Lowry, Tyrrell Hatton, Sungjae Im and Corey Conners.
COURSE BREAKDOWN
Sedgefield Country Club is 7,127 yard par 70 course. The PGA Tour ends the season with a pretty easy course. The last five winners have shot 20-under-par in this tournament. There are not a lot of hazards so there is a lot of trouble to cause high scores. Most golfers will not even bring the driver out of the bag. It will come down to accuracy off the tee and accuracy into the greens to set up short putts.

My strategy this week will be the same as last week. Getting 6/6 golfers through the cut is going to be very difficult and 70% of the lineups with 5/6 golfers playing the weekend should reach the pay-line. For this reason, I will take a chance (use a punt play) in many of my lineups so I can squeeze five higher-priced golfers into the lineup with a good chance to make the cut. I will be using a “Balanced Lineup” for the Cash Contest.
