The Cup Series will start their playoffs Sunday night with a trip to Darlington Raceway. Usually we see the “cream rise to the top” in the playoffs because the 16 playoffs drivers get a lot of room from the non-playoff drivers on the track. That likely will not be the case this year. The 2022 regular season has been wild and unpredictable. I expect the playoffs will be the same. It should be fun to watch. The Cook Out Southern 500 can be seen Sunday evening at 6 p.m. ET on USA Network.
There are 10 races left in the 2022 Cup Series season. The drivers I have left include: Alex Bowman, Kevin Harvick, Tyler Reddick, Cole Custer, Harrison Burton, Todd Gilliland, Justin Haley, Noah Gragson, Ty Dillon and David Ragan.
Here is my One & Done pick for the race at Darlington…
ONE & DONE PICK FOR DARLINGTON: KEVIN HARVICK will be my pick for all One & Done games this week. He has been a stud at Darlington since hooking up with crew chief Rodney Childers at Stewart-Haas Racing. Harvick finished 4th, 5th, 6th, 1st, 3rd, 1st, 4th, 4th, 9th, 2nd, 5th and 1st at Darlington since the two were pared together. Harvick is almost a lock for a top-five finish. He won the last two races this season on oval tracks (not including Daytona). I have been saving Harvick for this race so I will use him at Darlington.
