NASCAR One & Done Picks for Indianapolis

Facebooktwitter

If one crown jewel race is not enough for you… How about two? The MENCS heads to Indianapolis Motor Speedway to compete in the Brickyard 400. It is cool NASCAR used this track as the last chance for teams to make the playoffs, but it will be different next year. The Indianapolis race will move to the 4th of July weekend and the Daytona 500 will be the last chance race. That should be interesting. But first we must set the field for the 2019 playoffs.  The Big Machine Vodka Brickyard 400 can be seen Sunday at 2 p.m. ET on NBC.

My goal every year in the One & Done game is to have an average finishing position of 15th or better from my drivers. Last week I used my start with Chris Buescher and he came through for us. Buescher finished 12th and my average finishing position for the season is now 12.8. Not too bad.

Here are my picks for Indianapolis…

My One & Done pick this week will be Chris Buescher. I have been saving Buescher for the Southern 500. Darlington ranks as his best track. He has a 15th place average finishing position at the Track Too Tough to Tame and he has run well on the large oval tracks this season. I expect the No. 37 car to finish near the top 10 again this week. Buescher will start 12th Sunday evening.

Good luck this week!
