NASCAR One & Done Picks for Pocono

The Cup Series will travel to the “Tricky Triangle” Sunday for the M&M’s Fan Appreciation 400. This will be race No. 21 on the schedule. That means we have used 20 drivers in the One & Done game and we have 16 races left to navigate. It is not going to be easy to find drivers who have a great chance to find Victory Lane so we should be happy with a top-10 finish from our One & Done driver in the second-half of the season.

The One & Done pick (Martin Truex Jr.) finished fourth last week. Typically I am happy with a top-five from my One & Done pick, but last week was disappointing. Truex led 172 laps and won both Stages. His team made a two-tire pit stop and Truex lost track position and lost the race. He scored well in the One & Done game, but I feel like I was ripped off at New Hampshire. I was expecting a win from Truex. Well, maybe we will have better luck at Pocono.

Here is my One & Done pick for the race at the Tricky Triangle…

ONE & DONE PICK FOR POCONO:  DENNY HAMLIN will be my pick in the One & Done games where you can use a driver once throughout the season and in games where you can use a driver more than once during the season. Can we trust Hamlin? He has made numerous mistakes on pit road this year so he is a tough driver to trust. Hamlin should be good at Pocono this week. He has finished four of the last five races at the Tricky Triangle in the top-six. That includes two wins and a second-place finish. He starts on the pole so it may not get this good the rest of the season.

Good Luck Sunday!
