Truck Series Fantasy Picks for Texas

Facebooktwitter

The Truck Series will once again be part of a double-header Saturday, but it will be a bit different this week. The Truckers will race at Texas Motor Speedway, while the Cup and Xfinity Series race at Richmond. That means the field will be made up of all Truck Series drivers. We do not need to worry about Kyle Busch or Ross Chastain stealing the show. It should be a good race today. The SppedCash.com 250 can be seen Saturday at 4:30 pm ET on FS1.

PRACTICE / QUALIFYING

The Truck Series had a 20-minute practice session Saturday morning and then they lined up the trucks for qualifying. The Truck Series practice was not on TV, so all we have to go off of are the practice speeds. I will be using the speeds from practice and the data from the race at Las Vegas since that track is similar in size and shape and Goodyear is bringing the same tire to the track this week.

Here are the lap times from the practice Saturday at Texas…

DFS STRATEGY FOR TEXAS

The race Saturday is scheduled for 147 laps (220 miles). That means there are 36.75 points available for leading laps and 66.15 points available for fastest laps (102.9 dominator points). The trend at Texas is for one to lead 60 laps and score 22 fastest laps (24.9 dominator points), another driver to lead 40 laps and score 22 fastest laps (19.9 dominator points) and a third driver to lead 30 laps and score 18 fastest laps (15.6 dominator points). Out lineups will score well if we are able to find these three dominators Saturday. I plan to pay up for the driver who I think can lead the most laps today.

The drivers with the best chance to score dominator points today are: Christian Eckes, Ty Majeski, Zane Smith and Corey Hiem

The drivers with the best chance to score place differential points include Zane Smith, Ben Rhodes, Grant Enfinger, Matt DiBenedetto, Matt Crafton, Chase Purdy, Colby Howard, Hailie Deegan, Kaden Honneycutt, Tyler Hill and Spencer Boyd

DRIVER GROUP GAME PICKS

The Driver Group Game will once again have a contest for the Truck Series. It is easy to play. You simply select one driver from Group A, two drivers from Group B and one driver from Group C for your lineup. You can only use the drivers in Groups A & B six times throughout the season. You can only use the drivers in Group C five times throughout the season, so you have to use your allocations wisely. Here is the link to join: DGG Truck Series Game

Here are the drivers I will use for the SpeedCash.com 250 Saturday evening…

Good luck with your lineups!
