Updated Best Bets for Texas

The Cup Series had a 20-minute practice, followed by qualifying Saturday morning. It has not been too tough to figure out which drivers have the best chance to win the race after we see the lap times, long-run speed chart and know where each driver will start the race. Kyle Larson went out and posted the fasted speed on every long-run speed chart at Las Vegas. The No. 5 car then went out and won the pole, led 181 laps, won both Stages and went to Victory Lane. It wasn’t hard to predict that Larson would win that race and it isn’t tough to see that the No. 5 car is the best at Texas.

I already have WIILIAM BYRON (+700), CHRISTOPHER BELL (+1200) and BUBBA WALLACE (+1600) on my betting card.

* I have $50 left from my $100 budget. Here is how I will be spending the remaining funds on the Cook Out 400

KYLE LARSON (+350): I will go ahead and bet $40 of the $50 in have left in my bankroll on Larson to win. I thought about betting all $50 on Larson, but I will take a chance with Ty Gibbs too. The race Sunday looks a lot like the race on the 1.5-mile track at Las Vegas. Larson had the fastest car in practice, won the pole, led 181 of the 267 laps, won both Stages and won the race. The No. 5 car was fastest in practice and Larson won the pole again. Larson is going to be tough to beat Sunday.

TY GIBBS (+1000): I have been betting on Gibbs to win for a while now. I am not stopping this week. Gibbs had one of the fastest cars on the short and long-runs in practice. He qualified on the front row and Gibbs proved at Las Vegas last month that he can run up front with a fast car. Gibbs is going to win this year. I would not be surprised if it happened Sunday.

BETS MADE EARLIER THIS WEEK

Good luck Sunday!
