Updated Driver Group Game Picks for Charlotte

The Cup Series had its regular schedule this week at the Charlotte Roval. The teams had 20 minutes of practice to dial in their cars and then they qualified for the Bank of America 400 at Charlotte. The cars are impounded after qualifying, so the speed the cars had in practice is the speed they will start the race with Sunday.

Here is my starting lineup for the race at Charlotte Roval…

CHASE ELLIOTT (2): I have been saving my allocations with Elliott for the road courses so I will have the No. 9 car in my lineup Sunday. Elliott posted the 12th-fastest speed in practice and qualified 9th for the race. He is already locked into the Round of 8, so Elliott will be aggressive with pit strategy to win the race. I think he can get the job done.

TYLER REDDICK (2): Reddick has been the best driver on the road courses this year and it looks like the No. 8 team is ready to roll again Sunday. Reddick posted the 8th-fastest speed in practice and qualified 4th for the race. There is no reason to fade Reddick Sunday.

WILLIAM BYRON (2): Charlotte Motor Speedway is the home track for Byron and he runs well here on both the oval and Roval. Byron leads the Cup Series in Driver Rating at the Charlotte Roval and his 7th-place average finishing position is fourth-best. The No. 24 car looks fast again. Byron posted the 3rd-fastest speed and qualified 2nd for the race. I will use one of my final allocations with Byron Sunday.

AUSTIN CINDRIC (2): Cindric has been very good on the road courses this year. He finished 8th at COTA, 5th at Sonoma, 7th at Road America and 2nd at the Indy Road Course. Cindric has a lot of speed again this week. The No. 2 car posted the 2nd-fastest speed in practice and qualified 5th for the race. I will use one of my last allocations with Cindric Sunday.

Good Luck Sunday!
