There are only six races left in the Cup Series regular season. The racing is heating up and the race at the “Tricky Triangle” will likely be exciting too. The races at Pocono are usually run like road course races. The teams use pit strategy to get their car in position at the end of the race to make a run for the checkered-flag. There are a lot of big name drivers who need to win this race so I am expecting some crazy racing at Pocono.
The Cup Series had their regular practice and qualifying session this week. The teams had 20 minutes to dial in their cars for the M&M’s Fan Appreciation 400 and then they set the starting lineup. The cars are impounded after qualifying so the speed the cars had in practice should be the speed the drivers will start the race with Sunday.
