The Cup Series races at World Wide Technology Raceway (WWT Raceway) Sunday. This is a new track for the Cup Series so the teams were allowed 50 minutes to practice on Friday and then had their qualifying session Saturday. Usually I do not focus my rankings on practice speeds because the teams do not have much time to make long runs. This week is different though. Most of the drivers were able to make some long runs and come into the pits to adjust their car. This is also one of the shortest races of the season (300 miles). That means the teams will not have a lot of time to adjust their cars during the race. The speed the drivers had in practice should be the speed they have for most of the race.
