Xfinity Series Fantasy Picks for Martinsville

Facebooktwitter

The Xfinity Series will return to the track after a week off for Easter. The Xfinity Series will join the Cup and Truck Series at Martinsville Speedway. This is another “Dash for Cash” race so that means Josh Berry, Justin Allgaier, John H. Nemechek or Chandler Smith will win an extra $100K if they are the highest “Dash for Cash” driver in the race. It also means that the Cup Series regulars are not allowed to compete in the Xfinity Series race Saturday. This evens the playing field, and should create some exciting racing. The Call 811.com 250 can be seen Saturday at 7:30 pm ET on FS1.

XFINITY SERIES PRACTICE / QUALIFYING

The Xfinity Series had a 20-minute practice session and then lined up the cars for qualifying Friday. Most of the teams were able to make some long runs in practice. That means we have some data to work with for Saturday’s race. I will use the data from practice and qualifying and combine it with the driver’s track history at Martinsville for the picks this week.

Here are the speeds from the practice session at Martinsville Friday…

XFINITY SERIES STATS AT MARTINSVILLE

STRATEGY FOR MARTINSVILLE

The race Saturday is scheduled for 250 laps (125-miles). That means there are 62.5 points available for leading laps and 112.5 points available for fastest laps (175 dominator points). This is a short race and track position is very important. We need to pay up for the dominators today.

The trend at Martinsville is for two drivers to dominate the race. The main dominator leads roughly 180 laps and scores 80 fastest laps (81 dominator points). The second dominator leads roughly 40 laps and scores 30 fastest laps (23.5 dominator points). We must have the top dominator in our lineups if we want to win any cash Saturday.

The drivers with the best chance to score dominator points today includes Cole Custer, John H. Nemechek, Sam Mayer, and Sammy Smith

The drivers with the best chance to score place differential points includes Chandler Smith, Daniel Hemric, Ryan Truex, Austin Hill, Parker Kligerman, Anthony Alfredo, Alex Labbe, Jeb Burton, Kyle Weatherman, Brennan Poole, and Kaden Honeycutt
