Fantasy NASCAR Preview for Daytona

Facebooktwitter

The NASCAR Cup Series will waive the green flag for their 2024 season on February 18th at the Daytona 500. This will be the 66th running of the “Great American Race” and it is setting up to be a good one. The Cup Series is stacked with talented drivers this year and there will be at least five open cars trying to race their way into the Daytona 500 Sunday. It should be a great race and another exciting season for Fantasy NASCAR.

SPEEDWEEKS SCHEDULE

The best week in motorsports is about the start. Speedweeks at Daytona is packed with on track action from Wednesday through Sunday. Here is the Speedweeks schedule for the 2024 Daytona 500…

FANTASY PICKS SCHEDULE

If you play multiple types of Fantasy NASCAR games, it will be tough to find a better website than this one. Each week I will provide picks for Fantasy Live, Driver Group Game, One & Done contests, DraftKings and FanDuel contests, Truck Series DFS picks, Xfinity Series DFS picks and Best Bets for each race. If that is not enough, I will throw in some of the best DFS Golf picks you will find. Not a bad deal… Here is what you can expect this week…

FANTASY STATS FOR DAYTONA 500

The Superspeedway races are the toughest to predict, but some drivers have either been “luckier” than others, or simply found a strategy to help them consistently finish up front. Here are some stats to help you prepare your Fantasy NASCAR lineups for the Daytona 500…

Insert chart

The driver that pops out on the stats is Kyle Busch. He often gets overlooked in the Superspeedways, but he was just a few laps away from winning the Daytona 500 last year. Busch backed up his solid run in the Great American Race with finishes up front in all of the Superspeedway races last year.

Here are how the drivers scored in the Gen-7 car in the two races at Daytona last year…

Racing at the Superspeedways is unpredictable. Many people say the race is more “luck” than skill. While that is partially true, we can eliminate some of the “luck” by depositing some fantasy points into our lineups before the race ends. So how do we do that? Some drivers like to run up front at the Superspeedways and score a lot of Stage Points. Once you team scores these Stage Points, they cannot be taken away. A driver who finishes in the top-five in the Stages will score well for your fantasy team even if he crashes out of the race. Here are the drivers who have scored the most Stage Points on the Superspeedways in the Gen-7 car…

If you want a smaller sample size, here is the drivers average Stage Points at Daytona. This chart is only for races using the Gen-7 car (I think this is the most useful chart)…
