The One & Done picks are off to a hot start in 2022. Michael McDowell finished seventh in the Daytona 500 and Daniel Hemric finished ninth at Auto Club. It has been a long time since I was able to get through the first two races with a top-10 average (I haven’t had good luck at Daytona in the past). There is no need to get cocky though. There are still 34 races left. It will be important that we get another top-10 finish in the Pennzoil 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
One & Done Pick for Las Vegas: Joey Logano will be my pick for the One & Done game and the games where you can use a driver more than once or the game is reset at the end of the regular season.
Las Vegas Motor Speedway is statically the best track for Joey Logano. His average finishing position in Sin City is 8.2. He has won two of the last three March races at the track and his crew chief (Paul Wolfe) has a Cup Series high four wins at the track (three with Brad Keselowski and one with Logano). Logano was fifth-fastest in practice and he qualified sixth. I like Logano’s chances to win Sunday.
Good Luck This Week!
