NASCAR travels to Kansas Speedway this week and they will have their “condensed schedule.” The Cup Series did not practice until Saturday evening and then they will race Sunday afternoon. NASCAR uses this schedule so the drivers do not need to leave North Carolina until Saturday morning and they can be home Sunday night.
The Cup Series had their normal practice session at Kansas Speedway. The teams had 20-minutes to shake down their cars before they lined up for qualifying. Most of the teams were able to make some long runs, so we should have enough data to work with to properly handicap this race.
